License terms

BsonJet is licensed, not sold, by Letsnet s.r.o. (see the legal notice). By installing or using BsonJet you agree to these terms.

1. Personal use – free

You may use the full version of BsonJet for free, without time limit, for personal and non-commercial purposes – learning, hobby projects and non-commercial open source.

2. Use at work – free to try

You may try the full version at work for free. For continued use at work – for a company, for clients, as a freelancer, in a public institution or for any other commercial purpose – every user needs a Pro license. Until then, the application reminds you from time to time; nothing is locked.

3. Pro license

• A Pro license is for one named person, who may use it on any number of their own devices. A license key bought for several seats covers that many named persons.
• It is perpetual and covers all versions of the major version you bought (for example every 1.x version). Older major versions keep getting fixes.
• An upgrade to the next major version is optional; its price is announced with that version.
• There is no subscription.

4. Team, education and open source

For licenses for a whole team, write to [email protected]. Students, teachers and open-source projects get a Pro license for free on request.

5. What you may not do

• Share, publish or resell license keys, or use a license for more people than it has seats. A key that has been published or shared may be blocked.
• Circumvent the licensing, or modify, decompile or reverse-engineer BsonJet beyond what the law expressly allows.

6. Third-party services

The AI assistant uses the provider you choose (Anthropic or OpenAI) with your own API key. Your use of that service is governed by the provider's terms, and its costs are charged to you by the provider.

7. Warranty and liability

BsonJet works with your databases and can change or delete data at your command – keep backups of important data. BsonJet is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Letsnet s.r.o. is not liable for lost data, lost profit or indirect damage, and its total liability is limited to the price you paid for the license. Mandatory rights of consumers are not affected.

8. Changes and governing law

New versions of these terms apply only to new versions and new purchases; they never take away rights you already have. These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic.
